The bar and restaurant was lovely and staff were very attentive the only fault I would say was the young bar staff on the saterday were very keen to finish felt as if we were getting rushed out before 11 apart from that they were very nice.Check in was very easy and the girl Lotty on the reception was a lovely girl and very good at her job we decide to upgrade our room and she kindly showed us round.The hotel is gothic style very nice lovely decor and the room was lovely and clean over all lovely stay.

Staff, from the moment we arrived, were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and even though quite fully booked, very peaceful. We had breakfast both mornings, staff were very attentive, and there was lots of choice from continental to hot food to choose from. All delicious. The location is fantastic, the A-shaped village layout is beautiful and quirky and makes you feel you're on location of a BBC drama set. There are lots of places to walk the dog, and the local chinese and italian are extremely tasty.

The hotel facilities are fine, but the staff are an unbelievably friendly and helpful bunch. We travelled with our dog, who was spoiled rotten by the staff, with "doggie muffins" being offered frequently. We lunched with my father, who is in a wheelchair; the staff were incredibly accommodating to his needs, for which we are extremely grateful. Unlike the many big corporate hotels we've stayed in over the years, the Eglinton Arms stands out for its exceptional friendly staff. There were one or two minor niggles with the room, which were fixed immediately.

One of the best things about this hotel is the lovely staff. They are all friendly, helpful and made a fuss of our dog which was nice. The setting is peaceful being on the edge of a small park but it also feels very much as though the hotel is part of the community.

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Clean rooms . Restaurant and room service meals were good. Easy access by car to Glasgow and the beaches on the Ayrshire Coast. Would stay here again if visiting that part of Scotland.

Staff were all amazing. Extras in room were a nice touch. Bar great. Starters amazing. Location is unreal, the hill on the right of the hotel has a bar and a great hidden gem of a cocktail bar with pool table. Lovely little village, felt safe. Good park across road

The breakfast was lovely. Service was great. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. It was a lovely stay. The shower was amazing, very powerful. Room was spotless. I love a bath, so had one soon as I checked in, endless supply of hot water.
