The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming probably the friendliest and most welcoming of any hotel I have stayed in the UK. The correspondence I have received prior to staying with the offer of an upgrade was brilliant making me feel valued and at ease about staying at the hotel. The room was very cosy and well ventilated and also very modern and sophisticated showing really good value for money and that it was very lavish and lucrative and upmarket in a good way. Booking a table in the restaurant was also very easy with the hotel contacting me prior and pre-empting it showing their very good planning and organisation for guests staying there. The food in the restaurant was very delicious and delightful with service very prompt and efficient with staff make you feel very welcome and also the setting was very relaxing. The food at breakfast was equally as good and service again very efficient and food being again very delicious. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient, relaxing and picturesque being just outside of East Kilbride and the surrounding area of Glasgow allowing to feel relaxed and was very tranquil away from the helter skelter nature of Glasgow. The hotel building itself had plenty of character and charm, which was all the better by the great friendly welcome. Will certainly look at staying if visiting the area again and stopping overnight.

We loved this hotel and had a fabulous 2 night stay visiting family. Our room didn’t have a window, (just roof lights) which I would usually find a bit claustrophobic but the room was very spacious and comfortable so that helped. I’m sure if I wasn’t happy though the staff would have done there upmost to accommodate us. From the moment we arrived all the staff we engaged with were just fantastic and really couldn’t do enough, the were all so friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant which was lovely food and wine. Breakfast was great too. We also visited the pub within the hotel and again great staff with a cosy atmosphere. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again in the future.

The location was perfect for me, just a couple of miles from where I needed to be. The hotels parking facilities were good, and the overall feel of the property was good. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. No normal window(s) in my particular bedroom, but instead a large set of skylights with Velux controls, which was ok for an overnight stay to be honest. Comfortable bed though. The restaurant food was excellent. Dinner was very nice, as was breakfast.

Niall

The hotel catered wonderfully well for dogs. They were allowed to stay in certain rooms only and in certain areas only of the hotel so that non dog owners can also dine and drink without their company. The staff were all brilliant including the chamber maids who were so helpful and happy. Ross also stood out and was faultless. The area the hotel is set in is also fabulous for walking and great there is a free car park directly outside the hotel.

Elizabeth

The hotel is in a very pastoral location, about a 15-minute drive from Glasgow. Clean rooms with all the amenities. Keep in mind that a basic room, like the one we booked, does not have a fridge. The staff was great, we received answers to all our requests and questions.
